Outreach Services

The Central Rappahannock Regional Library reaches out to those persons in its service area who are not able to fully take advantage of the services offered in its fixed facilities. Alternative library services include bookmobile runs to isolated locations, books-by-mail, delivery to institutions and private homes for homebound individuals, services for persons with disabilities, talking book services, coordination of literacy efforts through the Alliance for Literacy and a TAPLOAN and TTY equipment program for the deaf and hard of hearing. The Central Rappahannock Regional Library operates its bookmobile in the counties of Spotsylvania and Stafford and the City of Fredericksburg. The bookmobile makes biweekly runs to scheduled stops. While it is not equipped with a lift, staff will serve patrons with disabilities from the vehicle. Call 540-372-1144 for a schedule.
